The Rehearsal Checklist
Copy these eight prompts onto an index card the evening before a day that matters. Answer each in a few words, in the order the day will happen, then read the card aloud once at night and once with breakfast.
- Leaving time, and the time you want to arrive
- What goes in your pocket or bag
- Who you will see, and their name spelled out
- The one question you must ask
- How you get there, and where you will park or get off
- What the place looks like when you arrive
- What happens right afterwards
- When you will eat, and what
After a few weeks you may only need the card for unusual days. Keep the habit for those; routine days tend to take care of themselves once the order is familiar.
